Ivan Mikhailov piano

Ivan Mikhailov was born in Leningrad, where he attended music school and the Leningrad Conservatory, studying piano under professor Moesei Khalfin. In addition to graduate study in chamber ensemble performance under professor Tamara Fidler, he has also studied flute and sung in a professional chamber choir. Mikhailov wrote his dissertation about the songs of German composer Johannes Brahms, many of whose songs Mikhailov was the first to perform in St. Petersburg.
