Yulduz Usmanova (Uzbekistan)

Yulduz Usmanova is an genuine Uzbek superstar. Her concerts are sold-out events attracting hundreds of thousands of fans each year. She was discovered at the first "Voice of Asia" festival in Alma Ata (Kazakhstan), where she was awarded the festival’s First Prize. Her songs, once the subject of official state scrutiny under the former Soviet regime, are now highly revered by the people. Yulduz Usmanova has even written the country of Uzbekistan a new national anthem.
